Beth Walters | 6am - 11am
BETH'S Q&A - coming soon!

Beth Walters is originally from the land of Frostbite Falls, Minnesota. "I've been lucky enough to come to call tropical DuBois my home. It may not seem like the tropics to a native of DuBois, but when you grow up in the Great White North like I did, any place with temperatures above zero - especially in the summer - is considered tropical by me.

"I fell into this radio thing by accident several years ago, see what can happen when you aren't paying attention! Just goes to show that life is full of surprises. DuBois has been my home now for over 6 years. I can genuinely say that my colleagues and friends here mean more to me than I could've ever imagined."

Beth has a degree in Economics from St. Cloud State University. In addition to handling all the administrative work to keep production moving along at Sunny 106.5, Beth is also part of the production staff. You can catch Beth mid-days for your favorite music and information on the latest "happenings" in our community, all that and a little fun thrown in for good measure. "Carpe' Diem guys…and by the way, Moose and Squirrel say 'Hello'"!

Travis Giles | Weekend Crew

Travis grew up in a rural area between DuBois, Reynoldsville, Brockway and Falls Creek. He graduated from Brockway Area High School in 2005. During that time, he had been a Kids First correspondent; reporting the major events going on at the school during a given month which was then read on the air at Sunny 106. Travis attended Lock Haven’s main campus and graduated in 2009. He was involved in the Sports Broadcasting Club which allowed him an opportunity to commentate for the school’s many sporting events, especially wrestling, softball, football and lacrosse. During his final semester at Lock Haven, Travis took an internship with the Troy and Jerry Show at QWK Rock 103.1 in State College. While he did several on-air sessions, his main role was to edit the show’s podcast for the internet-listening audience. Travis also did work on editing the duo’s “Best of” album during this time.

Upon graduation, Travis moved back home and was able to secure a part-time job at Sunny 106. He’s been responsible for many of the broadcasted sporting events on Sunny 106 and News Talk Radio WCED. Beginning in December 2009, Travis started his on-air career and has been a fixture of Saturday afternoons/evenings ever since. Travis hopes to find a lucky lady who can put up with his Smart-Alec, self-deprecating style of humor who will marry him and be the mother of his children. Travis also hopes to make a ton of money at the profession he loves so he can retire early…so his dad can leach off of him (and his sister to a lesser extent).

Ian Erickson | Summer Intern

I was born in Culpeper, Virginia.  When I was 4 months old I moved to DuBois and still live here today.  Ever since I was 4 years old I have been a sports fanatic.  Basketball and baseball are my two favorite sports.  One of the coolest moments in my life was when I got to see Michael Jordan for my birthday.  My parents got pre-season tickets to see him play, when he came back to play for the Washington Wizards in 2001. In 2006 I graduated from the DuBois Area High School.

I recently just graduated from Clarion University with the class of 2010.  I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communication with a concentration in journalism.

This summer I am doing my internship here at Sunny 106.  After I complete my internship, I will officially be an alumni of Clarion University.
