Elk County Roadways Closed

CLEARFIELD– PennDOT reports that several roadways in Elk County remain closed as of 9:30 last ngiht due to flooding.
Motorists should not attempt to drive through standing water on roadways. Water may be deeper than it appears. 

As of 9:30 p.m. May 21st , the following state routes in Elk County are closed due to flooding. They are expected to re-open once waters recede.

  • Route 555 between Apple Road in Jay Township and Fred Road in Benezette Township.
  • Route 3002 (Loleta Road/Main Street/Laurel Mills Road) between Route 948 (Main Street) in Ridgway to Water Works Road in Ridgway Township.

Now Open:

  • Route 120 in the City of St. Marys between Benzinger Avenue and Jackson Road.
  • Route 120 between St. Michael Street in St. Marys and Osterhout Street in Ridgway.
  • Route 120 in Ridgway between Main Street and Osterhout Street.
  • Route 219 in Ridgway between Osterhout Street and Route 948.
  • Route 219 in Horton Township between Keystone Road and Mountain Church Road.
  • Route 255 from Elm Road to Chestnut Avenue in Jay Township.
  • Route 948 between Fairmont Road in Ridgway Township and Forestry Road in Jones Township.
  • Route 948 in Ridgway Borough.
  • Route 1009 (Center Street) in Johnsonburg at the Route 219 intersection.
  • Route 2003 (Dagus Mine Road/Toby Road) between Skyline Road/South Kersey Road and Route 948 (Kersey Road) in Fox Township.
  • Route 2007 (South Kersey Road/Irishtown Road/Old Kersey Road/Skyline Road) between Toby Road/Dagus Mine Road and Route 948 (Fairview Road) in Fox Township.
