FOW – Joseph Olewinski

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County's Fugitive of the Week for the week of May 27, 2014.Shaw identified the Fugitive as Joseph Alan Olewinski, age 48, of Lincoln Street, Ridgway, Pennsylvania. Shaw stated that Olewinski is wanted for failure to appear at Pretrial Conferences on May 22, 2014.

On June 27, 2013, Trooper John Eisman of the Pennsylvania State Police, DuBois Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Olewinski with: 1) Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, F; 2) Possession of a Controlled Substance, M; 3) Prohibited Offensive Weapons, M1; and 4) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, M.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Trooper Eisman states that on August 11, 2011, the Pennsylvania State Police received information from a confidential informant that Olewinski was selling heroin out of his residence located on E. Washington Avenue, DuBois City. The confidential informant also relayed that Olewinski was in possession of a few bundles of heroin and some marijuana. Trooper Eisman applied for and received authorization to execute a search warrant at Olewinski’s residence. Upon executing the search warrant, the State Police located and seized: $1,016.00 in U.S. currency, two bags containing marijuana, a blue plastic container containing marijuana, 21 blue wax packets containing heroin, 12 blue wax packets containing heroin residue, a glass smoking pipe, brass knuckles, and a digital weigh scale.       

                                              
A Preliminary Hearing was scheduled for April 11, 2014, at which time all charges were held for Court. On May 22, 2014, Olewinski failed to appear for Pretrial Conferences and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
