CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District
Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County's Fugitive of the
Week for the week of June 9, 2014. Shaw identified the Fugitive as Phillip Lee
Wilkinson, age 31, of Chestnut Street, DuBois, Pennsylvania. Shaw stated that Wilkinson is wanted for
failure to appear at a Preliminary Hearing on May 9, 2014.
On April 30, 2014, Corporal Randall L. Young
of the DuBois City Police Department, filed a Criminal Complaint charging
Wilkinson with: 1) Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, M; 2) Resisting
Arrest, M2; 3) Drivers Required to be Licensed, S; and 4) Turning Movements and
Required Signals, S.
An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by
Corporal Young states that on April 29, 2014, the DuBois City Police Department
were dispatched to area of Chestnut Street, DuBois City, for the report of a
domestic dispute. Upon arrival at the scene, the victim relayed that Wilkinson
had been drinking all day and had just left the scene. Officers then located
the vehicle traveling on West Weber Avenue, and a traffic stop was conducted.
Upon making contact with the driver of the vehicle, Young detected signs
of impairment and Wilkinson was removed
from the vehicle. Wilkinson then became argumentative with the officers, and
resisted being taken into custody. Officers ultimately were able to place
Wilkinson into the patrol vehicle, and once inside he began kicking the doors
and bars on the windows.
A Preliminary Hearing was scheduled for May
9, 2014, at which time Wilkinson failed to appear and a warrant was issued for
Wilkinson is described as follows:
