Severe Thunderstorm Warning

WEATHER ALERT- The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Elk,Clearfield, Clinton, Western Centre, Southern McKean, and Cameron Counties until 9:30pm.
 
At 8:25 pm Dopplar radar indicated a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing quarter size hail and destructive winds in excess of 70 mph. These Storms were detected along a line extending from near Redclyffe to near DuBois, to near Jefferies, to near Gallitzin and moving north at 45 mph.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING INTERSTATES...

INTERSTATE 80 BETWEEN MILE MARKERS 97 AND 149.

INTERSTATE 99 BETWEEN MILE MARKERS 48 AND 68.

A tornado watch is in effect for the area.

At 8:34 pm Dopplar indicated severe thunderstorms capable of producing a tornado. This dangerous storm was located over Parker Dam, moving north at 45 mph. If spotted act quickly and move to a place of safety in a sturdy structure.
