BROCKWAY - A multi-vehicle accident last night took the life of a Brockway man. Seventy-nine-year-old Clarence Anderson was traveling on State Route 219, just south of Rattlesnake Road in Washington Township, Jefferson County, when he was hit by a truck-tractor driven by 32-year-old Matthew Heitzenrater, also of Brockway. Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene. Heitzenrater's vehicle had jack-knifed after he braked for a slow moving vehicle in front of him. A third vehicle, driven by 19-year-old Brandon Lewis of Brockway, was struck by the cab of Heitzenrater's truck. Heitzenrater was uninjured in the accident. Lewis suffered minor injuries. Route 219 was blocked for roughly five hours following the accident.
