Nina Blackwood is a DJ and music journalist. She was one of the first five original MTV VJs, along with Martha Quinn, Mark Goodman, Alan Hunter, and J. J. Jackson.
After Blackwood left MTV in 1986, she began hosting a "Rock Report" for Entertainment Tonight, and hosted Solid Gold from 1986-1988.
Since hosting Solid Gold, she has appeared on numerous shows and networks including Access Hollywood, VH1, The Discovery Channel, and MSNBC.
In 1999, Blackwood and manager/producer Danny Sheridan started a syndicated radio show called “Nina Blackwood's Absolutely 80s”.
