Man Struck by Vehicle

COUNTY - A Johnsonburg man suffered major injuries after being
struck by a vehicle while walking along route 219 in Elk County. Sixty-nine
year old Paul Gnan was crossing both northbound and southbound lanes of route
219 when seventy-seven year old Edward Mitchler hit Gnan with his Chevy Silverado.
Mitchler, and passenger Patricia Mitchler, escaped injury. Gnan was transported
to the elk regional health center for treatment. He was charged with not crossing
in a crosswalk.
