Marcellus Shale Reducing Home Fuel Bill
Friday, February 1, 2013
HARRISBURG - Effective today, National Fuel Gas customers will be paying less to heat their homes.  National fuel has asked the Public Utility Commission for a quarterly adjustment which includes a 6.7% decrease in fuel costs to its customers.  The reduction will lower the monthly bill of a typical residential customer from $76.61 to $71.45.  According to National Fuel, the decrease is due, in large part, to increasing Marcellus shale gas production.
