Tax Increase Proposed by Governor

HARRISBURG - Governor Tom Corbett is
proposing raising gasoline tax revenues to pay for road and bridge maintenance
and put mass transit systems on a sounder financial footing. Most of the money
would come from an increase in revenues from the oil company franchise tax, a
wholesale levy at the gas station level.
