Johnsonburg Fire Allegedly Caused by Minor Smoking

JOHNSONBURG - A small fire broke out in an apartment in Johnsonburg Friday evening. Johnsonburg state police say 53-year-old Sandra Hale gave her 13-year-old son a cigarette and he was allegedly smoking it in bed at the time the fire began. Damage to the home was minimal. State police say Hale was charged with furnishing tobacco to a minor.
