HARRISBURG - A new program is ready to help those unemployed get back in the work force. House Speaker Sam Smith says the Keystone Works Program is for Pennsylvania citizens to get on the job training and become better qualified for the current job market. “The Keystone Works Program is a project that we have began two sessions ago and finally got it implemented into law last session and basically it’s a program that provides opportunities for unemployed workers to receive training with an employer while they continue to receive some unemployment benefits,” Smith said. He says he hopes the program will make a difference for both the unemployed and employers in Pennsylvania.
