CLEARFIELD - The weather was the cause of an accident that occurred early Saturday morning. The Clearfield Based State Police were called out to Green Acre Road in Bigler Township, Clearfield County. 78 year old Hugh Caskey of Irvona was traveling north on State Route 53 when he lost control of his vehicle on the slippery roadway. He traveled across the south bound lane and struck a tree. Caskey sustained minor injuries and was transported to the Altoona Hospital.
