BROOKVILLE - Brookville Council last night approved seeking engineering support on zoning issues before the borough planning commission. According to Sunny 106 and News Talk news reporter John Pozza, Nichols and Slagle engineers will be retained on an as-needed to review development and setback issues. He says, “Two projects currently being looked at are a zoning request by Brookville Equipment Corporation and a subdivision plan for expansion at the Crestview Trailer Park. Borough manager Chuck Gable said there are various options involved in both projects. He said that the engineer will help decipher some of those options and the planning commission will evaluate them and bring council its recommendation. Council is also looking into changing the way the borough issues building permits. The borough must decide if it wants to continue sharing permitting services provided through the Jefferson County Council of Governments or bring permitting in-house.”
