Piccirillo Taken Over for Local Newspaper Publisher
DUBOIS - Seventeen people lost their jobs at the Courier Express after the paper was bought out by Tioga Publishing. According to our sources, Publisher Denny Bonavita was one of those that were let go. An unnamed source says Pennsylvania Newspaper Executive, Joe Piccirillo of The Ridgway Record, has taken over as publisher for all three newspapers – The Courier Express, The Jefferson Democrat of Brookville and The Leader Vindicator of New Bethlehem. When asked about the permanence of his position, Piccirillo said he could not comment.
