Details about Seismic Testing DuBois Watershed
Wednesday, March 20, 2013

DUBOIS - Representatives of Seitel Data Incorporated presented an informational meeting last night about testing in the DuBois watershed. Seitel's Project Manager, Jonathon Mast defined seismic testing as using photo images of the subsurface to determine what rock formations exist below an area to potentionally sell data to drilling companies. Seitel recently approached DuBois city council about testing 2,300 acres along Anderson Creek. Mast says his company would dig numerous 30 feet holes and use an all-natural explosive called Geoprime Dbx for the project. The purpose of the project is to see what is in the DuBois watershed. No official decision has been made about seismic testing the watershed.
