DuBois Area Middle School Recognize as “Schools to Watch”
Tuesday, April 30, 2013

DUBOIS - Students, faculty and community members gathered yesterday as the DuBois Area Middle School was recognized for the third time as Pennsylvania’s Don Eichhorn Schools: "Schools to Watch." State leaders recognized the school for its academic and developmental excellence, which helps students achieve full potential. Middle school principal Dr. Marianne Konior says a lot of hard work goes into this accomplishment. “Well we study these 37 criteria and we find the ones that we need the most work on. For example, we are differentiating in our classrooms, making sure every student is succeeding. Failure is not an option here so we work very hard to have everyone be successful and that’s one of our goals.” Konior says the designation is good until 2016.
