Wednesday, June 12, 2013
CLARION COUNTY - Two men were arrested on drug and other charges following a traffic stop in Clarion County Monday.  Thirty-one year old Richard Tayag and forty-seven year old Rolando Tayag, both of Lowell, Massachusetts, were stopped on interstate 80 in Paint Township by state police.  Multiple indicators of criminal activity were observed and a drug detection dog was deployed.  A search of the vehicle revealed a bag of marijuana and a suitcase containing $650 of currency.  In addition, a package of nearly $18,000 of vacuum sealed currency was found hidden in the rear quarter panel of the vehicle.  Rolando Tayag was also found to be a fugitive from Justic out of Nebraska for trafficking marijuana.  Both men were taken into custody.
