Bakery has Dubois Tribute in Window Display
Friday, June 14, 2013
speaking of community days, a downtown Dubois bakery has created something
special for community days. You can view
the creation for yourself at Uziís bakery on north Brady Street in downtown Dubois.
Uzi's bakery has a new addition to their front window display. Uzi Kornhauser said it took him 3 months to
build the replica of the Dubois mansion and train station which he made out of
respect for the city of Dubois and just in time for community days. The
structure weighs over 200 pounds. Two
local teenagers Ashlyn Smilowipz and Courtney Bergman documented the work Uzi
put into the edible mansion. They came
every Tuesday for 2 months to film him and then put together a documentary
which is available at the bakery.
