Nineteen Year Old Injured in Accident

Tuesday, June 25, 2013
SANDY TOWNSHIP - Alcohol may have been a factor in a single vehicle accident in Sandy Township Sunday.  A nineteen year old DuBois man lost control of his vehicle on Oklahoma Salem road near piney lane, hitting several trees and flipping the vehicle onto its roof.  When police questioned him, the man could not indicate if he had anyone else in the vehicle with him, so a search of the area was conducted.  He was taken to DRMC and then flown to Altoona for treatment of injuries.  Sandy township police say the man was driving with a suspended license.
