Congressman Glenn Thompson Receives Friend of Penn State Award

STATE COLLEGE-Congressman Glenn Thompson received the “Friend of Penn State” Award, yesterday, which recognizes state and federal legislators who have played a significant role in the continued improvement of Penn State. Thompson is a Penn State Alumni and was awarded the honor for his active support for Penn State and the college of Agricultural sciences and his advocacy for the commonwealth’s agricultural sector.
Thompson said he is proud to receive the award and proud of the school and the members of the Penn State community who dedicate their lives to serving others.
He also said that Penn State inspires its students to go out and make a difference in the world. Thompson received a bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation from Penn State and worked at Centre Crest Nursing home where he became interested in Health care.
