DUBOIS- Keep Calm and Ride on was the theme for the third annual Dr Albert Varacallo memorial ride walk Sunday in the park.

This year there was a spin-a-thon, Zumba, a dove release, and a walk around the park. Approximatly $15,000 was raised this year and the proceeds benefited The Dr. Albert Varacallo Memorial Scholarship Fund which gives to medical scholarships at Penn State Hershey Medical School and Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and high school scholarships at DuBois Area High School and DuBois Area Catholic Schools.

Luanne Varacallo said that there was a great turn out and a lot of people tried spinning and Zumba a new thing for many of them. She also said she was thankful to everyone who came and supported the Ride/Walk.

The memorial ride walk is in honor of Dr Albert Varacello who died in an accident while riding his bike in July2010 and is made possible every year by his family and their friends and the community that participates.
