Clear Run Road still dangerous for drivers
July 16, 2013
SANDY TOWNSHIP- The flood damaged nearly every street in Sandy Township and delayed many projects but the township engineer and manager said that things are getting back on track.

Clear road is still closed but there have been complaints that people are driving too fast through the detour or ignoring the barricades completely . At yesterdays township supervisors meeting Township Manager Dick Castonguay said the area is dangerous part of the road is completely gone and there is construction equipment trying to rebuild.

Castonguay also said, Police are enforcing detour speed limits and anyone caught in the barrIcaded area will face the highest consequences the law allows.

After emergency repairs are made, milling and paving upgrades will be made to Clear Run road. For now the only people allowed on the road are the ones who live there.

The supervisors also voted to create an ordinance allowing them to use an outside collection agency to collect unpaid depts.
