Judge Cherry Sentences rapist

Clearfield County- Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced YESTERDAY that a rapist has been sentenced to state prison.

Shaw identified the defendant as Jeremie Suhoney, Sr., age 37, of Walnut Street, Curwensville, Pennsylvania. Police said on February 4, 2013, the Curwensville Borough Police Department received a report of a sexual assault of a 13 year old female. Upon investigation it was found that Suhoney had forced the girl to have sex with him at his residence in Curwensville.

Suhoney plead not guilty. The honorable judge Cherry sentenced him to a minimum of 25 years and a maximum of 50 years incarceration in the State Prison System.

Shaw stated that he was very pleased with Judge Cherry's sentence, and that a sentence of this magnitude should act as a warning to those who would engage in similar crimes.
