Saturday, July 27, 2013
CLEARFIELD - Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced the capture of a wanted fugitive.  Shaw identified the Fugitive as Claire Anthony Houdeshell, II, age 50, of Lingle Street, Osceola Mills, Pennsylvania.  On July 23, 2013, Trooper Justin Jones of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Houdeshell with Failure to Comply with Registration Requirements, F2, 2 Counts, and secured a warrant for Houdeshell's arrest. An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed with the Complaint states that Houdeshell failed to comply with state registration requirements for convicted sex offenders. Upon investigation it was found that Houdeshell had moved out of his registered residence, and it was unknown where he was currently residing.  Shaw stated that an anonymous tip to the Pennsylvania State Police provided the location of Houdeshell. On July 25, 2013, Officers from the Clearfield Borough Police Department apprehended Houdeshell at the Clearfield County Fair Grounds, and he was taken into custody without incident.  At the time of apprehension, Houdeshell was working at the Fair Grounds.
