Sandy discusses construction
August 20, 2013
SANDY TOWNSHIP- Although a lot of the damage caused by the flood has been repaired the area will not receive federal funding to help with the rest. Manager Dick Castonguay said FEMA turned down the request for assistance but that will not stop repairs from being made.

Multiple construction projects were discussed at yesterday's Sandy Township Supervisors meeting. All the flood damage to Clear Run Road has been completed and the next step will begin soon. There will be some asphalt patching in various parts of the area this week and there will also be work on drainage issues along South Main Street. Old Bliss Road Bridge in Moshanon forest was completed last Friday. The council all commended the work done on the bridge.

The Sandy Township Supervisors meeting for September 2nd is canceled.
