$297,925 Grant to fund water and sewer investments for the
Jefferson County Business Park

Titusville, PA – U.S. Representative Glenn 'GT' Thompson,
R-Howard, today announced the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic
Development Administration (EDA) has awarded a $297,925 grant to Jefferson
County and the Brookville Municipal Authority. The funding will be used to
build water and sewer infrastructure for the Jefferson County Business Park in
Pine Creek Township.
"The Jefferson County Business Park will help
facilitate substantial business expansion and employment opportunities in the
county and region," stated Rep. Thompson. "Jefferson County has
worked hard to advance this critical economic development initiative, and my
staff and I have been proud to support this effort and help move this project
The grant will fund construction of 5,700 linear feet of
sewer lines, a pump station, and 4,000 linear feet of water lines to provide
service to the future site of the Jefferson County Business Park, which will be
located adjacent to exit 81 off Interstate 80.
"This funding will be instrumental in the completion of
the water and sewer component of the Jefferson County Business Park,"
stated Bradley Lashinsky, Director of Economic Development for Jefferson
County. "These infrastructure investments
will help Jefferson County meet a host community needs and will serve as a
foundation for long-term economic expansion.”
The project is expected to create 100 jobs and generate $10
million in private investment, according to grantee estimates.
