Sept. 11 Deadline to Comment on Injection Well
August 28, 2013
BRADY TOWNSHIP- If you have driven along some of the roads in Brady Township you may have noticed signs protesting an injection well. Now the public has another way to voice their opinions, the EPA has reopened public comments about the proposed disposal injection well for Highland Street extension in Brady Township.
The concern for many people in the area is the possible problems with seismic activity. The research shows there have been problems with seismic activity and injection wells in other areas including problems in 4 other states and there is a fault line in this area.
The EPA says the public comments are limited to this issue. Many of the concerned citizens hope the public comments will lead to a public hearing on the matter. The deadline for comments is September 11. There is currently research information available at the DuBois public library for anyone to look at. You can email your public comments to platt.steve@epa.gov.

You can also mail public comments to the attention of S. Stephen Platt at:
