Fugitive of the Week James Selvage

CLEARFIELD Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County's Fugitive of the Week for the week of December 9, 2013.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as James Charles Selvage, age 27, of Hannah Street, Houtzdale, Pennsylvania.

On May 2, 2013, Trooper Michael Moskel of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Selvage with: 1) Terroristic Threats, M1; 2) False Imprisonment, M2; 3) Simple Assault, M2, 2 Counts; and 4) Harassment, S.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Trooper Moskel states that on May 2, 2013, the Pennsylvania State Police received a report of an assault that occurred at a residence in Houtzdale Borough. Upon investigation it was found that Selvage had struck the victim in the face, and had choked the victim. The victim also relayed that Selvage had threatened to kill her and her children, and had forced her into a bedroom and prevented her from leaving the residence.

A Preliminary Hearing was scheduled for June 19, 2013, at which time all charges were held for Court. On November 7, 2013, Selvage failed to appear for Criminal Call and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
