Scarnati: Pennsylvania Small Business Grants Awarded
Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has awarded energy
efficiency grants to 12 small businesses in the 25th Senatorial
District, Including 7 in Clearfield, Elk and Jefferson Counties.
Small Business Advantage Grant Program, administered through the state
Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) provides a 50 percent matching
grant of up to $9,500 toward energy efficiency improvements on systems such as
lighting, heating, cooling, as well as building insulation projects.

$996,713 dedicated to a total of 134 small businesses statewide through this
round of funding.

explained that each business receiving a grant is a
for-profit business enterprise that is a corporation, limited liability
company, partnership, sole proprietorship or other legal business entity that
has no more than 100 full-time employees.
