Seatbelt Enforcement in Brookville

March 7, 2014
BROOKVILLE- Buckle up! The Brookville Borough Police Department announced they are participating in a state wide seat belt enforcement mobilization now through March 21st. They will be at the Brookville Junior high school on Monday during arrival for an informational activity as part of this enforcement.

Additional law enforcement activities will be conducted through March 21st on roadways in Brookville used by students driving to and from school.

They say the enforcement coupled with educational outreach efforts aims to increase teen seat belt use and raise awareness of the state’s law that says anyone in a car under 18 must wear a seatbelt. Drivers and front seat passengers over 18 who are pulled over for a traffic violation will receive a ticket if they are unbuckled.
