FOW- Paul Ulrich Surrendered

CLEARFIELD- The Fugitive of the week announced Monday has
voluntarily surrendered. 32 year old Paul Eugene Ulrich, of Johnston was added
to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list for failing to appear for
court after he was charged with thefts from 2 Clearfield businesses. He
surrendered Monday and was taken to Clearfield County Jail.
On May 6, 2013, Patrolman C.D. Panebianco of
the Lawrence Township Police Department, filed a Criminal Complaint charging
Ulrich with: 1) Retail Theft, F3, 2 Counts; and 2) Receiving Stolen Property,
F3, 2 Counts.
An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by
Patrolman Panebianco states that on September 19, 2012, the Lawrence Township
Police Department received a report of a theft from a business located on Plaza
Drive, Clearfield. Upon investigation it was found that Ulrich and two other
individuals had unlawfully removed items from that store that were valued at
approximately $1,200.00. It was also found that Ulrich and the two individuals
had unlawfully removed items valued at approximately $900.00 from another
A Preliminary Hearing was scheduled for
October 2, 2013, at which time all charges were held for Court. On February 20,
2014, Ulrich failed to appear for Jury Selection and a warrant was issued for
District Attorney William Shaw Jr. stated
that on March 10, 2014, after having been listed as the Clearfield County
Fugitive of the Week, Ulrich voluntarily surrendered himself to Deputies from
the Clearfield County Sheriff's Office. Ulrich is currently lodged in the
Clearfield County jail.

Office for their assistance with this case.
