Temporary barrier to
be set on Route 255

DuBOIS – Crews will
be working today to set temporary barrier along Route 255 north of I-80. The barrier is
necessary for bridge repair work to take place, as the Route 255 project near
the I-80/DuBois 101 interchange resumes Monday, April 14. Drivers need to
remain alert for flaggers in the roadway as barrier is set tomorrow.

smoother roadway surface and new traffic signals at the I-80 ramps will provide
area drivers with more efficient travel and improved traffic flow.

lane and the southbound lane and shoulder. Delays are most likely to occur between
the Treasure Lake entrance and the Narrows Creek Inn. Two-way traffic will be maintained throughout all work on the project.

will issue project updates prior to the start of a new work phase or traffic
pattern change. PennDOT reminds drivers to proceed through the work zone with
project started in May of 2013. Overall work includes milling and paving,
bridge deck repair, cleaning and upgrading of pipe culverts and inlets,
water-line extension, and installation of new traffic signals at the I-80
ramps. Installation of the new signals will get underway later this spring. All work is weather and schedule dependent.
