Punxsutawney, PA – It’s six more weeks of winter, according to our favorite groundhog, the Seer of Seers and Prognosticator of Prognosticators, Punxsutawney Phil.
Phil’s prediction was the culminating part of the 135th Groundhog Day celebration from Gobbler’s Knob in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania.
Up to 30,000 visitors descend on Punxsutawney each year, prompting a significant tourism boost for the small town of just 5,500 residents. According to the Punxsutawney Chamber of Commerce, the event adds about $1 million to the region each year.
