Election Day is November 8th, 2022!

Update as of 6am 11/10/22: Over 96 percent of the votes in Pennsylvania have now been counted following Tuesday’s midterm election.
Democrat Josh Shapiro is poised to become the new Pennsylvania Governor with a hefty lead over Republican Doug Mastriano. Meanwhile, Democrat John Fetterman is maintaining a lead in the race for the Pennsylvania U.S. Senate seat. Fetterman’s lead over Republican Mehmet Oz is by approximately 200,000 votes out of a total of over 5-million cast statewide.
In the Tri-County area, incumbent Republicans Glenn “GT” Thompson and Mike Armanini comfortably won their races for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives and the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
Update as of 7am 11/9/22: Votes are still being counted following Tuesday’s midterm election.
This morning, Democrat Josh Shapiro is the projected winner in the Pennsylvania Governor’s race with a more than 12 percent lead over Republican Doug Mastriano.
Also, Democrat John Fetterman has been projected to win the race for the Pennsylvania U.S. Senate seat.
His lead over Republican Mehmet Oz this morning is by a slim margin of 140,000 votes out of 5-million cast.
Locally, incumbent Republicans Glenn GT Thompson and Mike Armanini have comfortable leads in their races for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives and the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

You must be registered to vote to take part in this election. If you’re a registered voter, and you have voted at your polling place at least once before, all you have to do is show up to your same polling location between 7am and 8 pm. You only need to bring a photo ID with you if you have never voted in your precinct before.
When do I vote?
Polls open at 7am and close at 8pm. Registered voters who are in line at 8pm will still be allowed to vote.
Where do I vote? Your polling place depends on where you live. Most polling places are public buildings where large crowds can gather, such as town halls, fire stations, schools, church centers or community centers.

What do I need to bring?
You do not need your voter registration card, but you will need to be registered to vote and be able to know your voting location. If you are voting in an election district or precinct for the first time, you will need an approved form of identification, either photo or non-photo. No other voter will be asked to present an ID.
Local races on the November 8th ballot include
The race for Pennsylvania Governor and Lieutenant Governor: The Republican candidates are Doug Mastriano and Carrie Delrosso. The Democrat candidates are Josh Shapiro and Austin Davis.
Another big race in Pennsylvania is for the U.S. Senate between Democrat John Fetterman and Republican Mehmet Oz.
The U.S. House of Representatives race in Pennsylvania’s District 15 has incumbent Republican Glenn GT Thompson running against Democrat Michael Molesevich.
For State Representative in District 66, incumbent Republican Brian Smith is running unopposed.
For State Representative in the 75th District, incumbent Republican Mike Armanini is opposed by Democrat Erica Vogt.
For State Representative in the 73rd District, Republican Dallas Kephart is running unopposed.
