The Adoptable Pet of the Week
Meet Kristy!
This girl has melted the staffs hearts many times over! Kristy is a 3 year old Staffordshire terrier mix who is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm tested negative. Kristy came to us from the south when the local humane officer broke up a back yard breeding operation. She was kept in a kennel her whole life and had at least 3 litters from what we figure. Kristy is a timid girl who is slowly learning that not all people are big and scary. She seems to very well and come out of her shell easier when their are other dogs around, especially ones calm and collected like her. She has never seen a cat so we are not sure how she would do, but she is a gentle girl so we think she would adjust just fine to living with one.
Kristy walks very well on a harness and enjoys walks with her shelter dog friends. She would also prefer, if there are kids in the home, that they are a bit older- she has never been around them and it seems the younger they are, the more nervous she is.
We really hope someone has the patience for her because she really is a nice, calm, and gentle girl. Learn more about Kristy here.
