DUBOIS – Last night was significant as members of the City of DuBois/Sandy Township Consolidation Committee met to officially approve and sign the Consolidation Agreement.
At the DuBois City Council meeting which followed, two waterline replacement projects were approved for Spring Avenue and West Weber Avenue.
Also, it was announced that construction of the new 86-million-dollar water treatment plant will begin next week.
SANDY TOWNSHIP – During the Sandy Township Supervisors meeting Monday night, the board appointed a new chief for the Sandy Township Fire Department and approved their 2023 preliminary budget for review.
The Supervisors unanimously voted to approve the appointment of Jason Runyon from Oklahoma Fire Company to the position of Sandy Township Fire Chief for 2023 through 2024.
The 2023 Preliminary budget was also approved to be advertised for the 20-day public review period.
