Priority First Federal Credit Union Community Spotlight recipient for July is Friends of the Flag. They are a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization based in Brookville, PA, that conducts a ride on the first Sunday of June to raise money to help Veterans and First responders who have fallen on hard times or have experienced a traumatic event. All are encouraged to attend our event to help and honor those who have stood up for our communities and nation. We chose one to two Veterans to honor at our ride, who are given a limousine ride through our 5 stops in the area. At the end of our ride, we present our honored Veterans with a plaque and a new American Flag to display in their home. This year’s ride will be held on June 1st, which will be our 28th year. Those we help are kept anonymous due to keeping personal concerns personal. We allow them the decision if they want to go public.
