What is the Homestead?

Nestled in the heart of the Elk Country Visitor Center property, The Homestead is a two story, 3 bedroom home that sleeps up to 12 people, complete with a full kitchen, bath, fireplace, and modern amenities. Relax and enjoy the best of Elk Country with the possibility of watching elk from your windows or as you relax around the fire pit. The Elk Mountain Homestead is a unique public/private partnership between the Keystone Elk Country Alliance and Pennsylvania’s Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
