DuBois – A new book published by the DuBois Area Historical Society shines light on many interesting citizens of the area during the first 50 years of DuBois’ existence.
The 25 chapters of “Spirited Citizens of the DuBois Area” features profiles of well-known individuals such as John DuBois, John Rumbarger, Philip Bliss, Tom Mix, and Frank Hahne.
There are also special sections in the book about “DuBois Firsts,” “The Great Fire of 1888,” and “DuBois Family Land Donations.”
The new book is available to purchase at the DuBois Area Historical Society and Junk Dealer’s Daughter in downtown DuBois, and it will be available at the upcoming 14th Spirit of DuBois Lantern Walk this Saturday, October 15th.
