About Summer Anderson
Born and raised in DuBois, Summer has always had a love for broadcasting, and she’s thrilled to call her hometown station home as a local DJ. Her radio journey began in her teen years, interning at Sunny 106 and WCED, where she helped cover Pittsburgh sports and assisted with remotes and community events.
After moving away to earn her college and postgraduate degrees, Summer quickly realized that home is truly where the heart is. Returning to the area allowed her to grow her experience and, before long, find her way back to Sunny 106 doing digital work. It didn’t take long for her to land exactly where she belonged, behind the microphone and on the air.
Now serving the area from 3–7, Summer loves bringing summer vibes all year long. She’s passionate about spreading positivity, whether through her nonprofit work or on the air with “Feel Good Friday.”
Summer is married to her husband, Bob, and together they have two children, Heath and Autumn. When she’s not with her family, she enjoys working out, reading, spending time with her pets, and decorating her home for every season and holidays.
