Hospital Avenue Project Update for Week of Sept. 6 - The following information is an update for PennDOT’s Hospital Avenue/Dixon Avenue realignment project in DuBois for the week of Sept. 6. All work is weather dependent.
- No work will be performed on Monday, Sept. 6, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
- The contractor will be installing waterline on South Main Street between Grove Avenue and Dixon Avenue.
- The contractor will be excavating and grading South Main Street between Grove Avenue and Dixon Avenue in preparation for paving. This work will be in the lane that is currently closed and will not affect traffic. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained on South Main Street.
- Motorists are advised to watch for slow moving and stopped vehicles through the entire work zone.
The overall project will re-align Hospital Avenue with Dixon Avenue. Work includes roadway widening, new traffic signals, and improved access to DRMC. The job is scheduled to run through late November of this year.
