The Priority FCU June Community Spotlight Recipient is Wheels of Hope.
WHEELS OF HOPE collects wheelchairs, crutches, canes, walkers, and rollators, refurbishes them, and sends them to Third World countries for underprivileged disabled recipients. WHEELS OF HOPE PA was inspired by local volunteers who travelled to WHEELS OF HOPE in Canton Ohio for 30+ years. The local nonprofit organization was created and located at the former Kohlhepp’s Fireplace Center.
Its lease was terminated due to property demolition. The organization is now seeking a new location, funding to continue the mission, additional board members and more volunteers.
