DuBois – PA During the public comment section of the DuBois Area School Board meeting Thursday night, community member, Glenn Schuckers, spoke to the board in favor of the e-sports program.
Schuckers was an educator for 35 years. He argued that it is the American way and taxpayers pay for students to have these clubs and extracurriculars that they are interested in. He said that a program like this is a need for students.
In a vote of 6-3, the board voted to pass the purchase of 15 e-sports computer systems for $33,722.40 from Covid-relief ESSERS fund money.
