Aid for Afghan Allies
Sunny 106 is teaming up with the US Air Force DuBois to help Afghan refugees arriving with little or nothing with them. These people helped our troops. Let’s return the favor.
**UPDATE: Thank you so much to everyone who helped donate to the Aid for Afghan Allies cause, giving back to the refugees who helped our troops in Afghanistan and who are now in our country with little to nothing at all. Together as a community, we raised more than $7,000 in gift cards for these refugee families, along with donations of new and used clothing, toiletries, and toys that completely filled a 16-foot moving truck.
That truck will leave for the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst military base in New Jersey, where many of those Afghan refugees are being temporarily housed.

How do YOU help? Drop off various items needed like…
Fall and winter Clothing (clean & serviceable men, women, children, babies etc)
Individual wrapped snacks
Socks
New Underwear for men, women and children
other items needed include…
New Toiletries for men, women and children
Toothpaste, shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, feminine hygiene products –no tampons, diapers, wipes, baby powder, diaper cream
Disposable razors/ shaving cream
Garbage bags / zip lock bags
Shower shoes/ flip flops
New sippy cups/bottles
Crayons/coloring books, colored pencils/ paper
New Towels, new bedding
Small Toys like barbies, balls, etc
They will also be collecting gift cards to purchase items when they get to New Jersey.
Gift cards to Walmart or Sams Club would be greatly appreciated and used to purchase the items above.
