Clearfield County, PA – The Clearfield County Commissioners have approved an agreement for a comprehensive study on the county’s broadband internet needs.
At Tuesday’s board meeting, nearly $50,000 was approved to have Mission Critical Partners of Port Matilda conduct the study. Mission Critical Partners is the same company already working with Jefferson County, and it may also soon be working with Elk County.
The study will engage with internet providers in Clearfield County to identify service options and coverage areas. Those outside of service areas will also be surveyed.
It is expected to take several months to complete the survey, and the remaining process of providing broadband internet throughout the entire county could take years.
