Pennsylvania – Good news if you’re itching to get back on the green! Today is the first day that outdoor recreation businesses, including golf courses, are allowed to reopen with safety precautions in place.
Some of the restrictions include that there is only one person per cart allowed. Flags sticks are not to be touched. Tee times are pushed back to every 15 minutes.
Sanitizing stations are being placed at many golf courses. Golf carts should also be cleaned after every use.
Although golfers are not technically required to wear a mask while golfing, it is highly encouraged. Staff members should also wear protective gear.
Check back for the full interviews with Mark Powell, board president of the Pinecrest Country Club in Brookville, and Logan Chetremon, manager of The Chetremon Golf Course in Cherry Tree, PA.
Other golf courses we reached out to, like Fred Crawford from Beechwoods in Falls Creek, said they were excited to be back open and their staff members are happy to see players back on the course.
Construction businesses throughout Pennsylvania are also able to get back to work today.
