Remembering Maddox Hyde

 A local DuBois Middle School student and Make-a-Wish kid who touched the lives of people all over the word lost his battle with cancer last night.

Maddox Hyde, age 14 of Reynoldsville, who battled cancer on and off for eight years, asked for Christmas cards to help brighten his spirits this past holiday season.

Over 100,000 cards from all over the world were sent in to Maddox, including one from President Trump and also from as far away as Italy.

Maddox touched the lives of many people in our community and around the world.

 Funeral arrangements have been announced for local Make A Wish child, Maddox Hyde who passed away earlier this week. Hyde, who was 14 and battled cancer for years, received national attention when he requested Christmas cards this past holiday season to brighten his spirits.

Family and friends will be received next Friday, February 1st from 2-8pm at the Chateau d’Argy off of Main Street in Brookville. The entire community is invited to say good-bye during this time. A private service will be held for his family at a later date.

Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home in Reynoldsville.
